Trusting the bumps in our lives

Trusting the bumps in our lives

There is a beautiful prayer written by Teilhard de Chardin titled Patient Trust. It reminds us to trust in the movement and progress of our lives and to have patience. Most of us wish that things would happen straight away and turn out just as we want them, however this does not always correspond with  the law of progress or allow for our maturing.

Tough times can cause disappointment and upset, and challenge us to find ways to move through them, and few people welcome these times! At such times it can be difficult to hold onto trust, let alone be patient, particularly when the tough times seem to have no end. We may prefer to throw a tantrum or blame others for our situations! But patience is foundational to maturity, and when we practice patience more and more, we become more patient people. It is then that we are more accepting of events in our lives and we can begin to notice that there are gifts for us even in the tough times in our lives.

  1. I remember praying for patience as a young mum Marg! Being mature enough to recognise the gifts wrapped up in tough times is a strength I’m grateful for x x

An ongoing prayer for me Bron, and thankfully over the years, the gift is greater patience! xx

  2. Physical ailments like fibromyalgia are only a manifestation of lack or wrong flow of the electromagnetic forces in our body that need to be conserved and thus the need to convert our sexual energy into spiritual energy by rigorous practices of “Yoga” via “Asanas” and “Meditation” thru the “Ashtang Yoga” as enunciated by the Great Rishi (Sage) Patanjali. In this pious effort to liberate ourselves of our traveils of misery, here and hereafter, it is highly desirable to engage in the “Spiritual Practices”. Practice, Practice and Practice is the Mantra.

Yes spiritual practices enhance our sense of inner peace and people have many ways of engaging in spiritual practice – yoga is beneficial to many.
